Archery is a fantastic sport that combines focus, strength, and precision—and it is much more accessible than you think!


We welcome individuals, families, and groups of all fitness levels and abilities. We supply all the bows, arrows, and safety gear you need; just wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. It is a fantastic way to clear your mind, challenge yourself, and meet a great community of local archers. 


The club has a number of AGB qualified coaches who, supported by experienced archers, run Beginner Courses and Taster Sessions throughout the year.

Taster Sessions

Our club hosts regular taster sessions designed to give you a true taste of the sport without any long-term commitment. Suitable from ages eight upwards.

What to expect

Under the expert eye of our experienced coaches, you will learn the safety rules, master the basic technique, and start hitting targets in no time. We welcome individuals, families, and groups of all fitness levels and abilities.

Equipment Provided

We supply all the bows, arrows, and safety gear you need; just wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Where & When

1st July 2026 - 6.30pm - 8.30pm

5th August 2026 -Session 1: 3.30pm - 5.30pm, Session 2: 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Cost

£20 per person for a 2 hour session

Beginners Courses

Beginners courses are suitable for anyone aged eight upwards and take place over 4 sessions in summer, or 6 sessions during the winter season.

What to expect

The course will cover safety, basic shooting, scoring and competition, different types of bow and archery and much more besides.

  • Summer courses are 2 hour 45 minutes sessions over a 4 week period
  • Winter courses are 2 hour session over a 6 week period

Equipment Provided

We supply all the bows, arrows, and safety gear you need; just wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. If the course is in Summer bring a waterproof!

£60 Adults 

£50 Juniors (u18) - we ask that a parent/guardian is onsite during the training

Coaching

The club has a number of AGB qualified coaches who provide ongoing coaching suport for our members. They're also on hand to support any new members through their first few sessions once they join, along with our senior club members.
