Bingham Leisure Centre Archery Club

based in Bingham, Nottinghamshire

 

 Our club is a friendly target archery club that  has over 50 members, shooting Longbow,  Barebow, Flatbow, Recurve and Compound bows.  

 

The club was formed in 1982 and has produced Olympic, National, Regional and County standard archers.

 

We currently have archers in the Nottinghamshire County TargetTeam for Ladies Recurve and Longbow, Gents Recurve and Compound.

 

 

  When and Where do we shoot?

 

We meet at the Bingham Leisure Centre, shooting outdoor in the summer

and both indoor and outdoor in the winter.  

 

Outdoor shooting is undertaken on the Rugby Pitch behind the Bingham Leisure Centre.  Here we can shoot from 10 yards up to 100 yards / 90 metres.

 

Indoors on Friday evenings we shoot  in the main hall up to 25 yards / 25 metres,

and on Sundays we shoot in the small hall up to 20 yards.

 

 

Summer

 

In Summer, we shoot outdoors weather and light permitting

The Summer Season is April to October  

Tuesday / Thursday / Friday evening 6.30pm to 9pm

Saturday afternoons 2pm to 5pm

 

Winter

 

Friday evenings 7.30pm to 9.30pm indoors

Sundays (roughly alternate weekends - see club info for more details)

     Outdoors  10am to 1pm

     Indoors     2.30pm to 5.30pm

  

The club has a number of GNAS qualified coaches who run beginner courses and "have a go" sessions throughout the year.
